Benito Giordani
Benito Giordani was born in Pisa, Italy. Pisa is only a short train ride to Florence. As an adamant fan of the arts, Giordani was fond of Florence. The city is filled with breathtaking paintings, sculpture and architecture. His love for the arts started here.
Giordani is an Impressionist oil painter. Impressionism was developed in France during the late 19th century and early 20th centuries. By definition, Impressionism is an attempt to accurately record the visual effects of light and color. The principal Impressionist painters were Pierre Augusta Renoir, Claude Monet and Alfred Sisley.
Impressionism is defined by the use of small strokes, the use of colors side-by-side without mixing and the use of grey and dark tones. The importance of subject matter is downgraded and the attention is shifted to the artists manipulation of color.
Giordani has always been a purist of the arts and feels that Impressionism shows the true imagination of an artist.
